About Us

Axiom refers to a concept that is clear or self-evident

It has never been more evident that our community must act to prevent gender-based violence.

A public health approach has been used successfully in the past to address other complex health issues affecting the public including covid-19, road safety and gun control.

A public health approach to gender-based violence prevention requires a coordinated effort across all levels of our society; from individuals, to organisations, communities, systems and institutions.

Our work is multi-disciplinary, evidence-based and innovative. Our services include:

Support to comply with the Workplace Gender Equality Act (WGEA)
Understand, prevent and address sexual harassment and sex discrimination
Leadership, capability building and training
Policy, procedure and organisational guidance
Monitoring, evaluation and research
Communications to build knowledge and engagement

Our Founder

Laura founded Axiom in 2024, recognising that organisations need specialist support to address gender-based violence in a meaningful way.

New legislation and regulations are increasing the onus on organisations to prevent  gender-based violence, including new family violence leave and national sexual harassment reforms (Respect@Work). There are inherent challenges in this work - the complex and intersecting drivers of gender-based violence, evolving societal norms, backlash, resistance and the long term nature of change.

Axiom was established to support organisations of all kinds to navigate these challenges and meaningfully contribute to gender-based violence prevention.
